Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-09

The Japanese version of these Terms of Service is the authoritative original. This English version is provided as a reference translation; in case of any discrepancy, the Japanese version shall prevail.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the web service "L-Styles" (the "Service", URL: https://l-styles.com) operated by LiDetour (the "Operator"). By using the Service, every user (the "User") agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

  1. These Terms apply to all relationships between the User and the Operator concerning use of the Service.
  2. Any usage rules, guidelines, or notices that the Operator separately posts within the Service (the "Individual Provisions") form part of these Terms. In case of conflict between these Terms and an Individual Provision, the Individual Provision shall prevail.
  3. The Service is provided primarily for users located in Japan. If you access the Service from outside Japan, you do so at your own risk and responsibility, and you agree that all activities arising from such use shall be governed by these Terms and Japanese law.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The following terms have the meanings set forth below:

  • Service: The collection of features, including lifestyle diagnostics, content browsing, user-submitted posts, and paid plans, provided by the Operator under the l-styles.com domain.

  3. Persons under 13 years of age may not use the Service. Persons aged 13 or older but under 18 must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian.
  4. The Operator may refuse registration or re-registration if the applicant:
    • has previously been suspended for violating these Terms,
    • has provided false, mistaken, or incomplete information, or
    • is otherwise judged unsuitable by the Operator.

Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users shall not engage in any of the following:

  1. Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals.
  2. Acts related to criminal activity.
  3. Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy, reputation, credit, or other rights or interests of the Operator, other users, or third parties.
  4. Posting content that is excessively violent, sexual, discriminatory, or otherwise highly offensive.
  5. Impersonating the Operator, other users, or third parties.
  6. Spam, advertising, solicitation, or other commercial activities without the Operator's prior consent.
  7. Imposing excessive load on the Service's servers, networks, or systems; unauthorized access; reverse engineering; or automated bulk access.

  9. Any other conduct that the Operator deems inappropriate.

Article 5 (Handling of User Content)

  1. Copyright and other rights in User Content remain with the User who submitted it.
  2. The User grants the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, perpetual license to use the User Content (including reproduction, public transmission, translation, and modification) to the extent necessary to provide, operate, improve, and promote the Service.
  3. The User warrants that they hold all necessary rights to the User Content and that the User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
  4. If the Operator determines that User Content violates these Terms or applicable law, the Operator may, without prior notice, remove, hide, or take any other measures with respect to such content.
  5. The Operator makes no warranty as to the content, legality, usefulness, safety, or accuracy of User Content.

Article 6 (Paid Plans and Payment)

  1. Users may subscribe to paid plans (Basic, Premium, etc.) presented within the Service to access additional features.
  2. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (the "Payment Processor"). Handling of payment information is subject to the Payment Processor's terms and the Operator's Privacy Policy.
  3. Fees for paid plans are denominated in the currency assigned to the User's locale, in the amount (tax-inclusive) determined by the Operator. Current pricing is shown within the Service.
  4. Paid plans renew automatically each contract period (in principle, one month) and continue to be charged until the User cancels.
  5. Users may cancel a subscription at any time from their account page within the Service. Cancellation takes effect on the next renewal date; no pro-rated refunds are issued for the remaining contract period.
  6. For one-time purchases of style detail pages, viewing rights are granted immediately upon purchase, and refunds are not issued in principle.
  7. In the event of a chargeback by a credit card company, the Operator may suspend the relevant User's account and any granted entitlements.

Article 7 (Limits on Content Browsing)

  1. The Service may impose limits on the number of user-submitted posts that can be viewed depending on the plan.
  2. The Operator may change the limits, scope, and measurement methods without prior notice in order to maintain stable operation and revenue of the Service.

Article 8 (Intellectual Property)

  1. All intellectual property rights in the software, design, logos, text, images, diagnostic logic, and other materials that compose the Service belong to the Operator or its licensors.
  2. Users shall not reproduce, modify, distribute, or publicly transmit such materials beyond the scope necessary for normal use of the Service.

Article 9 (Suspension, Modification, and Termination of the Service)

  1. The Operator may, without prior notice, suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service if:
    • maintenance, inspection, or updates are required;
    • provision becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, fires, power outages, or natural disasters;
    • servers, communication lines, or other infrastructure malfunction; or
    • the Operator otherwise deems it necessary.
  2. The Operator may modify, add to, or terminate the contents of the Service with prior notice to Users or by subsequent announcement.
  3. The Operator shall not be liable for any damage suffered by Users or third parties as a result of suspension, modification, or termination of the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Operator.

Article 10 (Account Suspension and Deletion)

  1. The Operator may, without prior notice, suspend, deregister, or delete content from accounts where the User has violated these Terms or where:
    • the registration information is found to contain false statements;
    • the User has failed to fulfill payment obligations;
    • the User has not responded to communications from the Operator for a reasonable period;
    • the account has been inactive for 12 months or more; or
    • the Operator otherwise deems continuation of use inappropriate.
  2. The Operator shall not be liable for any damage caused to Users by such measures.

Article 11 (Withdrawal)

  1. Registered Users may withdraw from the Service at any time by the methods designated by the Operator.

Article 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Operator makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the Service, including without limitation fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, usefulness, completeness, continuity, achievement of any specific result, or non-infringement of third-party rights.
  2. The lifestyle diagnostics and other content provided by the Operator do not constitute medical, psychological, or legal advice and do not guarantee any particular outcome.
  3. The Operator shall not be liable for any damage suffered by Users in connection with the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. To the extent that this is a consumer contract under Japanese law and the Operator's liability cannot be fully excluded, the Operator's liability shall be capped at the total amount of paid plan fees received from the relevant User during the preceding 12 months.
  4. The Operator shall not be involved in disputes between Users or between Users and third parties; such disputes shall be resolved by the parties at their own responsibility and expense.

Article 13 (Amendment of these Terms)

  2. Communications from Users to the Operator shall be made via the contact form within the Service (/contact).

Article 15 (No Assignment)

Users may not assign, transfer, or pledge their position under these Terms or any rights or obligations arising from these Terms to a third party without the Operator's prior written consent. If the Operator transfers the business associated with the Service to a third party, the Operator may transfer its position under these Terms, the rights and obligations under these Terms, and Users' registration information and User Content to the transferee, and Users hereby consent to such transfer in advance.
