The Japanese version of this Privacy Policy is the authoritative original. This English version is provided as a reference translation; in case of any discrepancy, the Japanese version shall prevail.

LiDetour (the "Operator") sets out below its handling of users' personal information and other information (this "Policy") in connection with the web service "L-Styles" (the "Service", URL: https://l-styles.com). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

The Service is provided primarily for users located in Japan. If you access the Service from outside Japan, please confirm consistency with the laws of your jurisdiction at your own responsibility.

Article 1 (Information We Collect)

In providing the Service, the Operator collects the following information.

1.1 Information you provide

  • Email address provided at account registration
  • Display name (nickname) and profile image
  • Profile settings such as display language
  • Lifestyle diagnostic answers and diagnostic results (style code)
  • User Content (text, images, related metadata)
  • Content sent through the contact form

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address, user agent, referrer URL
  • Access timestamp, pages viewed, time on page
  • Identifiers assigned via cookies and similar technologies
  • Browser language settings, screen size, and other device information

1.3 Information obtained through third-party services

  • Where social login is used, basic profile information provided by the relevant identity provider (email, display name, avatar image, etc.)
  • Purchase history and subscription status from the Payment Processor (Stripe, Inc.). Sensitive data such as full card numbers is not retained by the Operator.

Article 2 (Purpose of Use)

The Operator uses collected information for the following purposes:

  1. Providing the Service, identity verification, authentication, and account management
  2. Generating, storing, and displaying lifestyle diagnostic results
  3. Publishing User Content, generating feeds, and producing recommendations
  4. Billing, charge management, and subscription continuation for paid plans
  5. Analyzing usage, improving Service quality, and exploring new features
  6. Sending notices, feature updates, and campaign information about the Service (including by email)
  7. Responding to inquiries and providing user support
  8. Detecting and preventing unauthorized use, violations, and unauthorized access
  9. Producing statistical information (including statistics processed into a non-identifying form)
  10. Other purposes incidental to the above

Article 3 (Disclosure to Third Parties)

  1. The Operator will not disclose personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except in the following cases:
    • Where required by law,
    • Where necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult,
    • Where particularly necessary for improving public hygiene or promoting the sound development of children, and obtaining consent is difficult,
    • Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body in performing duties prescribed by law, or
    • Where information is transferred in connection with a business succession (merger, corporate split, business transfer, etc.) of the Operator.
  2. Items in User Content and profiles that are designated as public within the Service are displayed to other users in accordance with the Service's design. Such display does not constitute "disclosure to a third party".

Article 4 (Service Providers)

The Operator entrusts the handling of personal information to the following service providers in order to provide the Service. The Operator selects providers that implement adequate safeguards and supervises them as necessary.

Article 5 (Cross-Border Transfer)

  1. As described in Article 4, the Operator entrusts personal information to providers located outside Japan, including in the United States, in order to operate the Service.
  2. Information about each country's personal data protection regime can be found on the website of the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan (https://www.ppc.go.jp/) and similar sources.
  3. The Operator continuously verifies that each provider implements appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses, participation in recognized frameworks, or confirmation of adequacy decisions).

Article 6 (Cookies and Similar Technologies)

  1. The Service uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, etc.) to improve user experience, maintain login state, and analyze usage.
  2. The Service uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized statistical information. To opt out of Google Analytics cookies, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
  3. The Service uses Microsoft Clarity to collect interaction data (clicks, scrolls, taps, etc.) for the purpose of improving user experience. Text input fields and text areas are masked by default, and their contents cannot be viewed by the Operator or Microsoft. For details and opt-out options regarding Microsoft Clarity, please refer to the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/).
  4. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may render some features unusable.

Article 7 (Retention and Deletion)

  1. The Operator retains each item of information for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  2. When a user withdraws from the Service, the Operator will delete or anonymize that user's personal information within a reasonable period, except for information that is required by law to be retained or that is necessary for handling disputes or preventing misuse.
  3. User Content may remain published for up to 5 years after the user's withdrawal unless the user deletes it. To delete User Content, please do so prior to withdrawal.

Article 8 (Security Measures)

The Operator implements organizational, personnel, physical, and technical safeguards to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information collected. These include access controls, encryption of communications (HTTPS), regular vulnerability checks, and standards for selecting service providers.

Article 9 (Your Rights)

  1. You may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or suspension of disclosure to third parties of your personal information held by the Operator.
  2. Such requests are accepted via the contact form within the Service (/contact). After identity verification, the Operator will respond within a reasonable period.
  3. Some requests may not be answerable as required by applicable law.

Article 9-bis (Note for Users in the EU/UK)

If you are located in the EU or the UK, depending on the applicable law you may have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and objection in connection with your personal data. To exercise these rights, please use the contact form within the Service (/contact). Note that the Service is provided primarily for users in Japan, and that comprehensive GDPR/UK GDPR compliance measures (such as a Data Protection Officer or a representative in the EU) have not been implemented at this time.

Article 10 (Information of Persons Under 13)

  1. The Service is not intended for use by persons under 13 years of age. If it becomes apparent that a person under 13 has registered, the Operator will promptly suspend the account and delete related information.
  2. Persons aged 13 or older but under 18 should use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Article 11 (Amendment of this Policy)

  1. The Operator may amend this Policy in response to changes in law or in the Service.
  2. Amended versions take effect when posted within the Service. For material amendments, the Operator will provide reasonable advance notice.
